Father’s Day @ Franschhoek Motor Museum

When we woke up on Sunday morning, the wind was howling at 45 mph and it was bucketing down. A quick vote was taken not to drive to the museum with the old Renaults, instead we will use the new plastic ones.

We enjoyed a cup of coffee, or two, at the Engen 1 stop towards Paarl and drove in convoy to Franschhoek. Upon arrival we dried off and started the tour through the museum. Pictures can not describe what is on display in the four climate controlled barns – you have to see it to appreciate it.

Afterwards we all sat on the soft leather couches etc. for a nice glass, or two, of wine and chatted the afternoon away.

A big thank you to everyone that braved the weather to make the outing one to remember.
